Farm Girl + Horseman = Marriage
Mike Crumpler Jr. grew up in Amarrillo, TX and is referred to as a "Panhandle Boy". His father is a Cutting Horse Trainer, so Mike has been around the horse industry his entire life. Horses are his dream, passion, and lifetime career. His goal is to become one of the top Cutting Horse Trainers in the business but wants to be known as a "Horseman" rather than "Trainer". Mike apprenticed under 2 of the top trainer's in the Cutting Horse Industry: Neil Rogers and Roy Carter. After working for them he decided it was time to pursue his passion and start his own training business and take in his own clients. He is living his dream now and will continue to the rest of his life.
Carrie Crumpler grew up in South, TX (Devine). Somehow the two managed to meet in the middle which was Stephenville, TX. Carrie has a very strong passion for horses as well. Little to be known she raised Appaloosas which was quite funny for her AQHA loving boyfriend at the time. After Mike rode Carrie's registered Appaloosa gelding (of course he is 3/4 Quarter Horse)...he came to the conclusion that Appaloosas aren't that bad. Carrie turned barrels with her Appaloosas until her father Eddie Newman got her a job with Kory Pounds in Millsap, TX. Kory is a very well-known Cutting Trainer. She learned a lot about a sport she had basically never seen before. Once a barrel racer now turned into a Cutting fanatic. She then went to work for Gary Gonsalves in Millsap, TX.
The two (Mike & Carrie) were inseperable. If they weren't on the phone with each other while loping horses, they were together. Finally they married and have a beautiful little girl named Riley Jane Crumpler. Riley is following in the footsteps of her parents and already loves horses.
